ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems is a division of the Swedish ASSA ABLOY AB group — one of the world's leading access solutions companies. The group's history goes back to the mid-19th century when Swedish craftsman August Stenman built a padlock manufacturing company; in 1994 the Swedish ASSA group merged with the Finnish Abloy group, also with a century-long lock-making tradition. The resulting ASSA ABLOY AB grew through numerous acquisitions into a global group with around 200 brands and subsidiaries today. The Entrance Systems division was formed in 2006, consolidating the expertise of leading specialist manufacturers: Besam (founded 1962, automatic doors initially for healthcare, expanding into retail and transport), Crawford (industrial doors and loading systems since the 1950s), Megadoor (first vertical lifting fabric door in the world, developed in 1973 for the forestry industry, now also mining, shipyards, aviation), Albany (first high-speed fabric roll-up door in the world, 1968). On Archiproducts, ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems is listed at the Carugate/Italy address.

The product range covers automatic sliding doors (SL500 Frame/Slim/Semi-Transparent/Transparent/Curved; SL600 with electromechanical lock), automatic swing doors, revolving doors, folding doors, high-speed roll-up doors (RapidRoll, manually operable on power failure) and industrial and loading doors. All door systems are supplied complete with operator, panels, impulse and safety devices; side fixed panels and fanlights available on request. BIM/CAD files available (Revit, ArchiCAD, AutoCAD).

For architects, planners and facility managers, ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems is the global reference for automated entrance solutions — from a clean all-glass sliding door in an office building to a large-format industrial door in a warehouse or airport facility.
