Alivar

Alivar was founded in Florence (Tuscany) in 1984 — originally with the idea of reissuing masterpieces from the history of modern furniture and design (the so-called Mvsevm Collection). Alivar was, and remains, the only company producing the most comprehensive and complete range of furniture and accessories reinterpreting the great design classics of the 20th century. From the late 1990s, Alivar evolved into a contemporary design brand, building a complete living programme in the Italian Contemporary Living idiom through its Brilliant Furniture and Home Project collections. The brand holds the "100% Made in Italy" certification (entry No. 456 in the national register of Italian manufacturers). Sole creative director and lead designer: architect Giuseppe Bavuso (Milan). The production chain draws on the resources of the Tuscan region, working with craftsmen who have passed their skills down through generations.

The range covers all living areas: daytime (tables, chairs, sideboards, shelving), living room (sofas — including DURANTE with a patented 360° swivel element, chaises longues, ottomans, TV units), night (beds, accessories) and outdoor. Materials: solid wood, natural stone, leather, textiles, aluminium (die-cast structures), lacquered and veneered MDF. The concept: luxury without ostentation — "Italian Contemporary Living" as a holistic lifestyle vision, not a single-product sale. Distribution in over 40 countries.
