Tribù is a Belgian luxury outdoor furniture brand, founded in 1966 by Henri De Cock as a garden furniture import company. In 1987, his son Lode De Cock took over and shifted focus to own-brand production. Working with industrial designer Wim Segers, he developed a new category: outdoor furniture meeting interior standards of material quality, comfort and aesthetics. In 1999, Tribù was the first outdoor furniture company to exhibit at the Salone del Mobile in Milan. Since 2013, Lode's sons Koen (CEO) and Tom (marketing director) have led the company in the third generation.
The company is headquartered with a 3,500 m² showroom in Eupen, Belgium, and employs over 55 people. Distribution reaches more than 88 countries. The core material is FSC-certified teak (dried to 8–12% wood moisture using the sustainable Griage harvesting technique). Collections include Senja, Natal Alu, Tosca (Monica Armani), Nodi and Elio (Yabu Pushelberg) and Illum (Marc Merckx/Pieter Maes). Contract references include Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, top resort properties, and Nespresso and Dior retail spaces.
Tribù is the reference brand for planners and hotel buyers who want to furnish outdoor spaces to the quality standards of interior furniture. The combination of Belgian design sensibility, sustainably sourced materials and international contract distribution positions the brand at the top of the premium outdoor segment.
