Götessons
Götessons Industri AB is a Swedish company for office furniture, cable management and acoustic office solutions, founded in 1984 by Ola Götesson in Dalstorp (Municipality of Tranemo, Västra Götaland). Initially Ola Götesson produced wire products — wastepaper baskets, hat racks, dish racks. In 1992 he invented the world's first cable tray holder, keeping computer cables off the floor — this became the starting point for the Götessons of today. Son Johan Götesson took over management in 2006. In 2010 he introduced the table screen series ScreenIT with zip — the first textile product in the company's history and a new milestone. In March 2013 Connecting Capital acquired a majority stake. In May 2015 the company moved to new premises in Ulricehamn (Västra Götaland, Rönnåsgatan 5B), which was named Sweden's third best-looking office in the same year. In 2019 Accent Equity Partners acquired the majority for further Nordic and international expansion. Today Götessons is part of Götessons Design Group, whose CEO is Emil Johansson and which also includes the brands Akustikmiljö, David Design, G-SIGN and Scan Sørlie (Norco Interior from 2024). Group annual turnover: approximately SEK 550 million. ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified. Showrooms: Ulricehamn, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Dreieich (Germany), London (Clerkenwell), Paris (Vaucresson).
Product categories: office partition walls and acoustic screens (desk screens, floor screens), cable management (cable trays, holders), desk legs and writing desk accessories, wall panels (ScreenIT), whiteboards, office chair accessories, acoustic room solutions. Collaboration with designers for ergonomic, functional and well-designed complete solutions. Markets: Europe as main market. Target: office, conference, hotel, public spaces.
For architects and interior designers seeking for office, hotel and conference projects a Swedish manufacturer that in 1984 in Dalstorp began with wire products, in 1992 invented the world's first cable tray holder and since then acts as an innovation driver in the office accessory and acoustic screen segment, today as part of Götessons Design Group with acoustic expertise (Akustikmiljö), design furniture (David Design) and gaming concepts (G-SIGN) manages a complete office and space design portfolio, and is present in six European showrooms — Ola Götesson started in 1984 in Dalstorp with wastepaper baskets and dish racks from wire and invented the world's first cable tray holder in 1992: proof that the greatest innovations emerge from the simplest starting point — Götessons Design Group with SEK 550 million group turnover, Akustikmiljö, David Design and G-SIGN as evidence of four decades of consistency.
