Ezpeleta is a Spanish family company for outdoor furniture, parasols and terrace solutions, founded in 1935 in Oñati (Province of Gipuzkoa, Basque Country, northern Spain) as a manufacturer of rain umbrellas — handcrafted by specialist artisans who pass their knowledge from generation to generation. In Oñati, rain umbrellas continue to be produced to this day using traditional handcraft. In 1954 the company relocated the strategic focus of its main production to Vila Nova de Cerveira (Portugal), a location directly on the border between Galicia (Spain) and Portugal — a production site optimally positioned for European distribution, where today the main factory is operated by an internal team of designers and production specialists who develop and manufacture a broad range of furniture and parasols based on three core materials: polymers, metals and fabrics.
