Faber Mobili

Faber Mobili is a north-eastern Italian company for bespoke classic furniture in solid wood, founded in 1984 and based in Oné di Fonte (Province of Treviso, Veneto, Via Delle Industrie 53). The name Faber is the Latin word for "to make" and programmatically refers to the direct artisanal lineage of the master cabinetmakers of the Venetian tradition region, who since the Renaissance have cultivated woodworking in the Veneto and in Venice as an expression of a regional high culture. The company has kept this tradition alive and over the decades expanded it through new technologies, processing techniques and materials, without relinquishing its artisanal substance. Faber Mobili employs around 70 workers, of whom 30 work exclusively in the furniture finishing department. The company serves customers in over 50 countries.

Product range: over 800 items, all fully customisable in dimensions and finishes — 42 selectable finishes, 4 antique levels, 3 gloss levels (with patination, shading and wearing options). Each surface passes through 15 processing steps. Wood types: chestnut, cherry, oak (dried to 12% internal moisture content). Joinery techniques: conical wood joints (dovetail joints), inlays, carvings, hand-applied shellac lacquer, beeswax finish. The wood is treated with natural oils, resins and beeswax. Each piece of furniture is delivered with a guarantee certificate and a care and maintenance manual. Historical styles: Venetian-Venetian classicism (16th–17th century), Tuscan/Venetian, Louis XVI. Applications: villas, luxury residences, antique palaces, hotels, boutiques.

For architects and interior designers seeking for classical luxury residential and hospitality projects a Venetian solid wood specialist that since 1984 in Oné di Fonte transfers the Renaissance tradition of Venetian woodworking into bespoke classic furniture with 42 surfaces, 15 finishing steps and full bespoke sizing, accompanies every design from the client's sketch to the installed piece in a continuous artisanal process, and documents its international contract competence with customers in over 50 countries — Faber Mobili a good address in the segment of artisanal north-eastern Italian solid wood furniture in classical style.
