Bette

Bette is a German manufacturer of bathroom products in glazed titanium steel, founded in 1952 by Heinrich Bette and Günther Schlichterle in Delbrück (North Rhine-Westphalia, Westphalia). From the outset, the first in-house enamelling furnace fired 20 baths per hour at 820°C. The company has remained in Delbrück, where all production takes place. Bette employs approximately 370–400 people at the Delbrück site. It remains a family business to this day. All products carry the Made in Germany mark. Certifications: ISO 14025 (US Green Building Council, LEED-compatible), ISO 9001.

Core material: glazed titanium steel (BetteGlaze®) — a synthesis of steel and glass, fired in two steps at 850°C (wet-in-wet enamelling process, three ultra-thin layers). Properties: harder than marble, plastic or steel alone; scratch-resistant, non-porous, permanently UV-resistant, bacteria-inhibiting; 100% recyclable. BetteGlaze® Plus: water-repellent polymer film for reduced limescale deposits. 30-year guarantee.
