From building to handing over
Frank Indenkämpen steps down as Novus Dahle chief

After more than two decades within the group, Frank Indenkämpen is stepping down as managing director of Novus Dahle. Responsibility will pass to the group chief himself: Stephan Hettwer, CEO of EMCO Group.
Indenkämpen’s career reads like the story of how today’s company took shape. When he joined Novus on 1 August 2000, he initially introduced product management. He later built up the multi-workstation systems business, known as MPS. This gave the company access to new customer groups and industries.
In 2006, Indenkämpen became joint managing director of Schneider Novus Vertriebs GmbH alongside Frank Groß, managing director of Schneider Schreibgeräte. A test of his leadership followed three years later. In 2009, Indenkämpen moved to the helm of Dahle while the company was under economic pressure. Together with his team, he put the business back on track.
From 2012, the two businesses began coming together to form the company they are today. Indenkämpen led the joint development of Novus and Dahle and helped bring them together in Novus Dahle GmbH. His work also encompassed international expansion, a broader product portfolio and the further development of the lighting business.
Bringing things together is a recurring theme in this career, including within the organisation. Indenkämpen considers uniting departments such as technical development and sales into one team to be one of his greatest achievements. Hettwer shares that view, saying Indenkämpen “not only provided important strategic impetus, but also brought people and departments together”.
Responsibility will now sit directly at the top of the group. Together with the Novus Dahle team, Hettwer will oversee the company’s strategic and operational development. Novus Dahle is focusing on continuity, close customer relationships and the continued success of its brands.
