Wiesner-Hager

Wiesner-Hager is an Austrian manufacturer of office furniture and contract solutions from Altheim (Upper Austria), founded in 1849 by Josef Wiesner as a carpentry business. In 1921 his sons Rudolf Wiesner and Sebastian Hager took over and, by restructuring part of the operation into furniture manufacturing, laid the foundation of today's brand. Early milestones included garden furniture exports to England in the 1920s — pieces found as deck chairs on passenger ships and in English colonies in India. A consistent rise to a European furniture heavyweight followed: by the mid-20th century Wiesner-Hager was producing over 500,000 units annually and ranked among Europe's three largest seating manufacturers. Prestigious references: Vienna State Opera (1955), Großes Festspielhaus Salzburg (1957, architecture Clemens Holzmeister) and Brucknerhaus Linz (1973). Three-time state prize winner "Armchair of the Year" 1974–1977. Since 1984 strategically focused on office and contract furniture; from the 2000s, Office Consulting and Interior Design added as service modules. Austria: perennial market leader for office chairs and contract furniture. Export share approximately 50%.

The product range covers office chairs, cantilever chairs, conference and stacking chairs (puc, nooi), lounge furniture, tables (folding, conference, row seating), reception furniture, storage systems, healthcare furniture and solutions for hospitality and seminar operations. Signature products: yuno stacking table (compact stacking without folding frame), spyn mobile flip-top table for agile working, furniloop desk.

For architects, workplace planners and contract buyers seeking an Austrian manufacturer with 175 years of company history, world-class public prestige references, Austria's market leadership in office chairs and a complete service spectrum from consulting to furnishing, Wiesner-Hager is the strongest Central European address in the integrated office furniture segment.
