Varaschin

Varaschin is an Italian outdoor furniture brand from Vittorio Veneto (Province of Treviso, Veneto), founded in 1969 by brothers Ugo and Pietro Varaschin. The origins lay in hand-weaving natural fibres — rattan and rush — in the family barn. The rattan furniture boom of the 1970s enabled first exports; material shortages in subsequent years forced a shift to synthetic materials (rope, woven webbing, acrylic thread), while the characteristic hand-weaving was retained as the defining style feature. In 2011, a strategic restructuring eliminated the indoor range, reduced the catalogue from around 100 to approximately 30 collections and introduced a three-tier pricing structure.

Today Varaschin is present in over 70 countries, supplying residential, contract and hospitality projects. Hand-weaving remains the craft signature of every collection. The material programme covers water-repellent polypropylene ropes, polyethylene and PVC fabrics, teak wood, aluminium, stainless steel, bush-hammered ceramic and HPL — with 220 fabric colour options. Core designers include Monica Armani (Emma, Emma Cross, Allegra — Archiproducts Design Award 2025; Gianna — Good Design Award), Alberto Apostoli (Wellness Therapy), Calvi & Brambilla (Tibidabo) and Daniele Lo Scalzo Moscheri (Belt Air).

Varaschin is the reference address for planners seeking Mediterranean-inspired outdoor furniture with a documented hand-weaving profile, international designer partnerships and confirmed hospitality contract experience — from private terrace to luxury resort pool area.
