Sovet Italia is a north-eastern Italian manufacturer of glass furniture and design objects. The company was founded in the late 1980s by six Venetian glaziers in the Province of Veneto (official communication year: 1989). In 1990, new owners took over and transformed the company into a market-oriented design manufacturer. During the 1990s, Sovet established itself as a benchmark in the glass furniture sector through products with original forms and unique detail solutions. From the early 2000s onwards, collaborations with international design studios began: in 2003 the first collection was created with the prestigious Spanish studio Lievore Altherr Molina (DIVETRO). Since then the material programme has systematically expanded to include steel, aluminium, ceramic, HPL, Cristalplant, wood, leather and textiles. Today: exports to over 70 countries; own energy supply through photovoltaics.
Glass philosophy: exclusively extralight glass in its purest form (no coloured or lower-quality glass). Glass is fully recyclable within the production cycle. Over 123 surface finishes. Designers: Lievore Altherr Molina, Ichiro Iwasaki, Studio Irvine, Matthias Demacker and Gianluigi Landoni. Range: dining tables, coffee tables, side tables, consoles, mirrors, sideboards, cabinets and chairs. Contract references: restaurants, hotels, lounge areas, airports, ships and retail spaces. 100% Made in Italy.
Sovet Italia is for interior designers, project developers and hotel furnishers the north-eastern Italian design address for glass furniture and objects — grown from a Venetian glazing craft tradition into an international design company with exports to 70 countries and a 30-year innovation trajectory.
