The company was founded in 1928 by Josef Schäfer as a joinery and interior fitting business in Kurtscheid, Westerwald. Today it is owner-managed and headquartered in Horhausen, Westerwald. In 2018 a new production hall of 3,500 m² was constructed. As the first FSC-certified manufacturer in the field of partition systems and lockers in Germany, Schäfer holds a pioneering position in the industry. 30 field sales representatives cover the German market nationwide. Materials: HPL (solid core and composite panels), glass, aluminium, steel and coated wood-based panels. Systems include Vitrum (glass), EF-3, VENTO, VITRUM II and VITRUM III.
