Savio Firmino

Savio Firmino is a Florentine manufacturer of classic luxury furniture. It was founded in 1941 by Firmino Savio, born in 1904 in San Giovanni al Natisone, Province of Udine. Savio opened his first small workshop in the Santo Spirito district of Florence — in immediate proximity to the historic craft traditions of the Renaissance city. The first products were gilded wood chandeliers and hand-carved candlesticks. From the 1950s onwards, the company opened up international markets (USA, South Africa, United Kingdom) with sculpted mirrors in gold leaf, crystal, brass and semi-precious stones. In 1979 the company relocated to Scandicci, Florence. Today the company is led by the second and third generation: the founder's sons Amedeo and Guido, and Cosimo, Gregorio and Michela Savio.

In the 1980s: introduction of the bedroom collection "Ambiente Notte". Iconic product: Bed 1696 (designed by Guido Savio, flower and ribbon carving) — still the internationally bestselling piece. 2008: children's collection Notte Fatata. 2010: founding of the contract division Savio Interiors with a dedicated team of architects and engineers for bespoke hospitality projects. Presence in over 50 countries. Gold leaf used: 23 karat. Woodworking material: Swiss stone pine from the Alps. All products entirely handcrafted in Scandicci.

Savio Firmino is the definitive address for hospitality designers and interior architects requiring fully handcrafted classic furniture with Florentine wood carving and genuine gold leaf finishing for luxury hotels, private villas and residences — in unbroken family tradition since 1941.
