Roca

Roca was founded in 1917 by the brothers Martín, Matías and José Roca Soler in Gavà, near Barcelona. The company remains family-owned to this day. It was established as Compañía Roca Radiadores to manufacture cast iron radiators. In 1929 the company entered the bathroom sector with cast iron baths. Production of vitreous china began in 1936, followed by taps in 1954. In 1999, Roca acquired the Swiss Keramik Holding Laufen — at the time the world's fourth largest vitreous china manufacturer. In 2023, the group acquired the German brands Alape and Sanit, plus a majority stake in Spain's Royo Group. Revenue: 1.572 billion euros.

The Roca Group employs over 21,000 people across 81 production plants worldwide. Its distribution network spans more than 170 countries. Product categories include vitreous china sanitaryware, baths, showers, taps, bathroom furniture and smart toilets (In-wash, since 2019). The group includes the Laufen brand. Roca is a member of the UN Global Compact. Roca Gallery brand experience buildings operate in Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon, London, Shanghai and Beijing.
