Resol was founded over 60 years ago in northern Catalonia, Spain. Its production site is located in Les Preses, Province of Girona, covering 40,000 square metres. Resol was the first Spanish company to manufacture a chair in a single injection-moulded plastic piece. More than 50 million chairs have been sold to date. The company exports approximately 60 per cent of its production to over 110 countries. Grupo Resol encompasses the brands Barcelona Dd, Indecasa and Vilagrasa (acquired in 2014).
The range covers chairs, bar stools, tables, lounge armchairs, sun loungers and accessories in polypropylene, aluminium and rope weaving. Resol collaborates with recognised designers including Josep Lluscà, Joan Gaspar, Jorge Pensi and Mónica Armani. The Toledo Chair was exhibited at MoMA New York. Under its sustainability strategy, the company developed GRITEK, a proprietary post-consumer recycled polypropylene used in selected collections (including Woody, Steeley and Toledo Aire).
Resol is a leading address for contract projects in hospitality, food service, office and public space where robust, stackable and UV-resistant plastic furniture is required at competitive prices with international delivery capability.
