R'Kan

R'Kan is a furniture and interior design brand. It was founded in 2009 by Rania Fahmy under the name Arkan, later renamed R'Kan by Rania Fahmy. Fahmy has over 28 years of experience in interior and furniture design. She trained at the Inchbald School of Design in London. Since 2018, R'Kan has been designing and producing its own furniture. The brand operates two lines: R'Kan Collections for contemporary residential furniture and R'Kan Edition for exclusive, handcrafted pieces developed in collaboration with artists and artisans.

R'Kan Edition works with craftspeople from various regions. The output includes chairs, consoles, sideboards and accessories — frequently combining lacquer, wood and metal elements. Products are positioned for residential and hospitality projects. The programme emphasises handcrafted one-off production and individual client consultation. According to the brand's own description, each project is intended to develop a distinctive design narrative.

R'Kan is an option for planners of smaller hospitality and residential projects who prioritise artisanal production and closely supervised project development.
