Natuzzi Italia is the luxury design line of the Natuzzi Group — founded in 1959 by Pasquale Natuzzi in Taranto (Apulia, southern Italy) with a rented apartment, a second-hand sewing machine, a hammer and four scissors. 1972: founding of Natuzzi Salotti srl. 1973: relocation to Santeramo in Colle (Province of Bari, Apulia) — headquarters of the Natuzzi Group to this day. 1993: listing on the New York Stock Exchange — the only non-American furniture company ever to have been listed on the NYSE.
