Hans Hansen is a furniture brand handcrafted in Germany for tables, beds and shelving in Scandinavian and Bauhaus tradition, founded in the 1970s by designer Hans Hansen — grandson of Danish designer Fritz Hansen, founder of the eponymous design house that wrote the history of Scandinavian design. Hans Hansen's daughter Gesa Hansen graduated from Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, furthered her education at NZU (Nagoya University of Arts, Japan) and began her career in Paris at Jean Nouvel's studio.
