Geberit is a Swiss corporate group for sanitary technology and bathroom ceramics, headquartered in Rapperswil-Jona (Switzerland), founded in 1850 by Caspar Melchior Albert Gebert as a plumber's shop in Rapperswil. After their father's death, sons Albert Emil (1880–1969) and Leo Gebert (1888–1964) took over the company and developed the first lead-lined wooden cistern with lead fittings named "Phönix" — the cornerstone for future growth.
