Et al.

Et al. is an Italian manufacturer of contract furniture for public spaces. The company was founded in 1956 under the name Metalmobil in the Marche region of central Italy. The first product — the 001 armchair with a hand-woven steel wire seat and steel frame — is regarded as an icon of Italian industrial design and remains in production to this day. In March 2019, the company presented itself at Salone del Mobile for the first time under its new name Et al. The name derives from the Latin "et alii" (and others) — a reference to the many design partners, craftspeople, clients and employees who constitute the brand. Chairman is Gianfranco Tonti. Et al. is part of the IFI S.p.A. group (Marche-Romagna), a market leader in equipment and technology for the food and beverage sector.

The range covers chairs, armchairs, stools, sofas and tables for hotels, restaurants, cafés, offices, schools and canteens — indoor and outdoor. All products are 100% Made in Italy; production and distribution in the Marche region. Designers: Marc Sadler (Cuba chair), Emilio Nanni (Myra), Carlo Bimbi (Marka), Giulio Iacchetti (Salinero tables) and Philippe Nigro (Shade collection). The Cosmo chair was included in the ADI Design Index 2025. All raw materials are certified; packaging is in non-toxic, recyclable materials.
