Ersa

Ersa is a Turkish manufacturer of office and contract furniture. The company was founded in 1958 by Metin Atabey Ata as a metal workshop in Sivas, central Anatolia. The first chair was produced in 1962. Production moved to Ankara in 1971. Wooden furniture manufacturing was introduced in 1987. The current production facility in Ankara covers 60,000 m² and has a capacity for 4.5 million m² of panel material and 530,000 furniture pieces per year. The company is today led by the third generation of the founding family. In 2017, Ersa established the first R&D and Design Centre in the Turkish office furniture sector.

The range covers office furniture (desks, workstations, partitions, cabinets, lockers, armchairs), hospitality furniture and residential furniture (Life range since 2018). Ersa collaborates with Turkish designers including Ece Selamoğlu Yalım, Oğuz Yalım and Tamer Nakışçı, as well as international designers such as Claudio Bellini. The company is the authorised Haworth representative in Turkey (since 2014) and also represents Cappellini and Quadrifoglio. Awards: Red Dot, Good Design, Design Turkey (multiple), German Design Award (5 prizes) and Iconic Awards. Exports to 41 countries, with an export rate three times the Turkish industry average. Annual revenue 2026: approximately USD 53 million.

Ersa is the most significant Turkish office furniture manufacturer with an international design profile — and a relevant address for contract projects in the EMEA region that combine local production depth, design-led own development and the option to bundle internationally recognised brands such as Haworth in a single supply contract.
