ECOcero

ECOcero is a Spanish designer acoustic panel brand, founded in 2017 in Alicante (Spain) by two young experts in the acoustics sector in a small laboratory studio, which developed the idea for products with attractive design, an ecological ambition, accessible pricing and individual colour customisation. The turning point came through the collaboration with the University of Alicante, through which ECOcero developed new products from recycled plastic bottles — the birth of the ECOline collection. The company grew from 3 to 50 employees and relocated to the industrial park of San Vicente del Raspeig (Alicante), which simultaneously serves as a showroom for the current collections. Managing Director is Jorge Bellido. Each square metre of ECOcero material incorporates 75 recycled PET bottles; the factory processes more than five million bottles per year. Awards: three iF Design Awards (Flap, Meet, Lumomesh); Archiproducts Award 2023 (Beats collection, Eco-Design and Sustainability category; design Noé Prades); Best Stand Design Award Interihotel 2023; Sustainable Solution Award 2023 (Interiores magazine); two second prizes MIAD 2024 (Best Project and Most Ecological and Sustainable Material). Trade fairs: Orgatec 2024 (Cologne).

Product range: ECOwall (decorative panels for wall and ceiling mounting, sound reduction of up to 70%; collections incl. Groove/design Alejandra Pombo, Strata/design Erico Navazo); ECOceiling (acoustic ceilings); ECOdesign; ECOnordik; ECObasics; ECOimagine; ECOllections (incl. Breeze pendant lamp, design Noé Prades, up to 2 m height; Colibrí; Lumomesh — wall panels with integrable linear lighting elements for wall and ceiling); sound-insulated pods; room dividers. Designer collaborations: Alejandra Pombo, Erico Navazo, Masquespacio (Ana Milena Hernández, Barcelona), The Room Studio, Noé Prades. Limited art edition (rECOnnect, 2024): five artworks for five NGOs. Participation Orgatec 2024 with installation "Beatbar" (Alejandra Pombo).

For architects and interior designers seeking for office, hospitality and gastronomy projects a Spanish acoustic brand that since 2017 has built a growing international company from a laboratory idea in Alicante, runs a measurable circular economy with 75 recycled PET bottles per square metre, documents its design ambition through three iF Design Awards and an Archiproducts Award, and consistently expands the aesthetic spectrum of the acoustic panel through designer collaborations from Masquespacio to Noé Prades — ECOcero is one of the key addresses in the segment of design-oriented sustainable acoustic panels.
