ECHOJAZZ

ECHOJAZZ is a Swiss company for high-performance acoustic absorbers based on recycled PET plastic, founded by Swiss architect and furniture designer Daniel Korb and Sydney-based architect and furniture designer Anthony Kotarac, who share a passion for high-quality and well-designed office furniture. The company logo — the "swisserang" — is derived from the Swiss cross and the Australian boomerang, representing the bicultural founding. Both founders hold the conviction that "furniture is architecture on a different scale." The core material of ECHOJAZZ is the self-developed EchoBoard® — a class A high-performance absorber made from recycled PET plastic, whose surface has a natural, felt-like haptic quality that combines well formally with natural materials such as stone, concrete and wood. Each square metre of EchoBoard® incorporates 74 recycled PET bottles. EchoBoard® is fire protection classified and available in up to 34 colours.

ECHOJAZZ offers both standard products and fully customised solutions. Product range: EchoTower® (acoustic light column cut from a single piece of EchoBoard® — Archiproducts Design Award 2020, Office category); EchoBoard® wall panels and acoustic ceilings; EchoSail® (suspended acoustic sails); EchoBox® BY SYMA (soundproofed room-within-a-room solution, tool-lessly assembable and disassembleable); MCart (mobile height-adjustable workstation with integrated EchoBoard® framing, 70–112 cm gas-lift adjustment, for individual and home office); EchoFlakes® (decorative acoustic elements); EchoCarry (portable solution). Applications: office and open space, gastronomy, hospitality, retail, fitness, indoor pool, education, residential. The company is part of the global design brand xchange with distribution and manufacturing partners in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia. Reference customer: Bosch (acoustic ceiling elements, acoustic luminaires, wall cladding and room dividers).

For architects and workplace planners seeking for office, gastronomy, hospitality and educational projects a Swiss acoustic specialist whose EchoBoard® with 74 recycled PET bottles per square metre formulates a verified circular economy material logic, establishes with the Archiproducts-Award-winning EchoTower® an independent architectural formal vocabulary in acoustics, and combines acoustics and ergonomics in an integrated furniture piece with the mobile MCart workstation — ECHOJAZZ is one of the key addresses in the segment of recycled high-performance acoustic furniture.
