Crema Outdoor

Crema Outdoor is an Italian family business for sun umbrellas, beach umbrellas, garden parasols and outdoor furniture, headquartered in Montagnana (Province of Padua, Veneto) — a medieval town approximately 90 km from Venice. The company's history begins in 1890: Giovanni Cristina, an umbrella-maker from the Lake Maggiore region — where the craft of umbrella-making was traditionally rooted — settled in Montagnana, opened a small umbrella workshop and began selling his products at the local market. The workshop stood on the kitchen table. Since then the company has been passed exclusively within the family, from father to son. The current, fifth generation is led by brothers Lorenzo and Alessandro Crema. In the 1970s — at the height of Italian coastal tourism — grandfather Lorenzo made the shift to producing beach umbrellas and maxi parasols with wooden and aluminium frames. In 2011 the company moved into a purpose-built modern factory in Montagnana. In 2019 the company was renamed Crema Outdoor S.r.l. ISO 9001 certification.

Products: garden parasols and beach umbrellas for professional use in hospitality and gastronomy, sun loungers, outdoor furniture and gazebos — for individual and large-scale projects. Materials: aluminium and stainless steel for load-bearing structures; covering fabrics from the sectors of nautical, sun protection and professional outdoor furnishing (water-repellent, UV-resistant). Configurations: over 2,500 variants from model, size, fabric colour, trimming and paint finish. The product range is specifically oriented towards hospitality projects in which parasols are understood as coordinating design elements in outdoor space planning.

For architects and hospitality planners designing outdoor areas of hotels, resorts, restaurants and beach facilities, Crema Outdoor is the most experienced Venetian address for professional parasol production — with 130 years of company history in a single family name and a configuration depth that enables individual complete concepts for any outdoor space project.
