ByKepi
ByKepi is a Turkish furniture manufacturer based in İzmir, founded by Mustafa Kepi — who began in 1994 in a 60-square-metre workshop in İzmir, crafting wooden sofa frames by hand. In 2001 ByKepi opened its first own factory of 24,000 m² in İzmir-Sarnıç — the starting point for its development into an international furniture brand. Mustafa Kepi conceived of himself from the outset as a craftsman for whom knowledge of materials, precision of detail and an honest formal language are prerequisites for good furniture design. This philosophy — truthfulness, simplicity and customer satisfaction ahead of commercial objectives — remains the brand's declared guiding principle to this day. The company describes its approach as "furniture tailoring": each piece is individually tailored to the client, from dimension to surface finish. ByKepi is today represented in 9 showrooms across 6 countries, including a dedicated showroom in Dubai.
The range covers sofas and armchairs (including Ecole — walnut wood frame, cotton velvet upholstery, brass feet; Lagonda), dining tables (including the Archiproducts Design Award-winning Avenue Nova Dining Table), chairs, sideboards, beds and home accessories. Designer collaborations: Maurizio Manzoni, Leyla Uluhanli and further international designers. Every product is fully configurable in dimensions, fabrics and finishes. ByKepi exhibits regularly at international furniture fairs, including the International Istanbul Furniture Fair. Alongside the main brand, the sub-brand KEPI exists and is currently available at the SkylandHom showroom in Istanbul.
For interior designers and demanding residential projects seeking a Turkish production centre with a Europe-oriented design language, complete customisation expertise and proven international reach, ByKepi is the most relevant address from İzmir — with a founding story that binds artisan origins and global design ambition into a coherent brand profile.
