Bruag

Bruag Design Factory AG is a Swiss SME headquartered in Amriswil and Güttingen (Canton Thurgau), specialising in laser technology for wood and wood-like materials as well as their surface treatment. Since 1 January 2023 the company has been owned by Manuel Züllig (trained draftsman and business economist) and Nina Züllig-Brühwiler, who has been with the company since 2009 and serves as co-CEO responsible for sales, project coordination and marketing. Bruag's core promise to architects: a single point of contact from the first consultation through to delivery — for both standard and fully customised orders alike.

The product system is structured around two application fields. For exterior use: back-ventilated perforated facade panels, balcony balustrades and shading systems. For interior use: partition walls, stair railings, wall and ceiling cladding and acoustic panels — including the Noise-Virus-Catcher variant with integrated antiviral filter. The two certified substrates: CELLON® (HPL, 70% cellulose fibres + 30% phenolic resin, 8–10mm, UV-resistant, weatherproof, corrosion-resistant, lighter than aluminium) and FORMBOARD TOP PINE® (high-density wood-based panel, PU-laminated, 10–18mm, for protected exterior areas). Over 100 predefined perforation designs are available; any of these can be fully customised. Completed reference projects: MFH Bellmund (CH, architect: Architektur Hartmann Schüpbach Gysin), residential building Böblingen (DE, architect: Ralf Sklarski), Castell in Taufers (IT, architect: Bettina Regensberger), project in Abu Dhabi.

For architects seeking to resolve facade design and room acoustic challenges with a single specialised manufacturer, Bruag is the most consistent Swiss address — with material expertise that unites wood aesthetics, high-performance HPL and complete customisation in a single product.
