BROSS

BROSS is an Italian furniture manufacturer, founded in 1981 in Moimacco — a municipality in the Province of Udine (Friuli), located within the so-called "Italian Chair District", the historic chair production cluster of northeast Italy. The brand was founded with the ambition of combining the region's craft production expertise with a contemporary design language and industrial processes. In 2006 a new family took over the company. The BROSS range at that time already featured early designer collaborations with Ettore Sottsass and a then-young Rodolfo Dordoni — collaborations that laid the conceptual foundation for the brand's international orientation. Designers including Paolo Piva, Gerd Lange and Enzo Berti have subsequently developed collections for BROSS.

The company manufactures entirely in Italy and covers all production phases in-house: woodworking, lacquering and upholstery. This vertically integrated production structure enables the brand's central competitive advantage — extensive customisation to client requirements in finish, size and ergonomics. The core material is wood (walnut, ash, oak), combined with marble, leather, fabrics or crystal. The range covers chairs, armchairs, lounge furniture, sofas, tables, sideboards and accessories. In the contract sector, BROSS supplies internationally renowned hotel groups including Marriott, Hilton, W Hotels, Le Méridien, Sheraton, Westin and Relais & Châteaux, as well as the nautical and office sectors.

For architects and hospitality planners seeking fully bespoke seating from the Friulian chair cluster, BROSS is the most reliable partner — with over 40 years of production expertise, proven contract experience at five-star level and a design history stretching from Sottsass to the present.
