Blifase is an Italian craft company for chairs, stools and sofas, founded in 1963 by Lionello Buttazzoni in Corno di Rosazzo (Province of Udine, Friuli-Venezia Giulia) — a municipality within the historic chair production cluster of Friuli, the so-called "Chair Triangle". Today son Franco Buttazzoni and granddaughter Elena Buttazzoni lead the company in the third generation, continuing the founder's philosophy closely tied to the territory and its craft values. All key production phases are handled in-house — from concept to finished product — forming the basis for a high degree of customisation for both large and small orders.
Core material: solid wood, primarily beech and ash, in over 35 surface finishes and lacquers, also available to client sample on request. Production exclusively with water-based lacquers; wood from FSC-certified sources. Quality management system: ISO 9001-certified. Fire safety approval: most products hold Classe 1 IM approval and are tested by CATAS (Italian Institute for Research and Testing in Wood and Furniture) — Italy's most important testing institution for wood and furniture products. Product categories: chairs (including Aura, Scuele, Ikkoku, Alba), stools, two-seater sofas/loveseats (Haiku series — also as lounge and armless stool), Harmony (360° swivel seat with optional wireless charger). Application sectors: hospitality (hotels, restaurants), public spaces and residential. Made in Italy.
For architects and hospitality planners, Blifase is the most precise Friulian wooden chair specialist — with three generations of family continuity, a complete quality certification framework for the contract sector and a range that takes craft woodworking and contemporary formal language equally seriously.
