Baxter is an Italian furniture brand, founded in 1990 by Luigi Bestetti and his nephew Paolo Bestetti in Lurago d'Erba (Province of Como) — in the heart of the Brianza, a region with centuries of furniture and leather tradition. The founding moment: the first sofa, Alfred in Chester style, designed by Marco Milisich, with a 4mm full-grain leather deemed too heavy for furniture production. The experiment succeeded — and laid the groundwork for a consistent reinterpretation of leather furniture as a sensory experience. Paolo Bestetti leads the company as CEO; Luigi Bestetti is President. Production: exclusively Made in Italy. Certification: ISO 14001 (environmentally responsible production). The full-grain hides sourced from Northern Europe are processed in Italy's finest tanneries using traditional methods and natural aniline dyes.
