BARIL is a North American manufacturer of high-end residential bathroom faucets, headquartered in Trois-Rivières (Québec, Canada). The company was founded in 1986 as Les Distributions J. L. Baril Inc. by Jacques Baril and Louise Thibeault — out of the conviction that faucets deserved far more attention as design objects. Since 2010 BARIL has been led by Marie-Ève Baril (2nd generation). Design: Montreal-based design team. Production: China. Main warehouse and order processing in Trois-Rivières; showroom and sales on Saint-Laurent Boulevard in Montreal. BARIL is considered North America's leading brand for design-oriented premium bathroom faucets in the residential segment.

Philosophy: avant-garde as a mindset, not a posture — inspired by art, architecture, music and the spirit of the times. Lifetime warranty on all products and finishes. Extensive finish selection (manufactured with state-of-the-art equipment). LEED-compatible low-flow options. Past design collaborations with international names: Alessandro Mendini (Grazie collection, five distinctive handle designs), Piet Billekens/Carlo Nobili Rubinetterie (Utopia collection), Michel Robichaud (first designer collection, 1989), M&Z Rubinetterie (Fluo). BARIL currently manufactures all faucets in China; earlier European (primarily Italian) production was discontinued. Distribution mainly through showrooms in Canada; international presence including via Archiproducts.
