AstralPool is the leading international mainstream brand of the Fluidra group for residential and commercial swimming pool technology and wellness applications. Fluidra was founded in 1969 in Barcelona — initially as Astral Construcciones Metálicas — by four Spanish founding families: Planes, Serra, Corbera and Garrigós. The initial focus was on producing pool components for the domestic Spanish market. In 1992, AstralPool was the official supplier for the competition pools at the Olympic Games in Barcelona; Fluidra was listed on the Spanish stock exchange in 2007. The distribution network reaches over 170 countries; direct sales are handled through Fluidra subsidiaries in 45 countries.
