ARBLU was founded in 1996 by Pier Giorgio Presotto in Roveredo in Piano (province of Pordenone, Friuli). In 2003 the company relocated to its current plant in Fontanafredda (PN), covering 12,000 m² of enclosed space structured across eight functional areas: offices, raw material processing, assembly, warehouse, dispatch, bathroom furniture department, test laboratories and showroom. The company is today managed in partnership with his sons Giuseppe, Diada and Giovanni Presotto. ARBLU operates more than 41 authorised service centres across Italy.
The product range developed in stages: shower cabins and bath screens debuted on the Italian market in 2006, followed by multi-function shower cabins and shower columns; 2008 brought specialisation in shower trays, and 2009 the coordinated integration of all bathroom furniture. Today the programme covers: shower cabins and walk-in systems (collections Dedalo, Otto, Perseo, Sirio, Tulip, Virgo, Time, Pietrablu and others), shower trays (Juta, Trendy, Well, Woody), bathroom furniture (Hito, Tuby System, Ciotole washbasins), bathtubs, sanitaryware, decorative radiators and laundry furniture. Proprietary materials include Pietrablu™ (a natural resin material with tactile quality) and Tecnoblu (a high-tech composite material). ARBLU was among the first companies in the world in the bathroom sector to obtain EPD certification (Environmental Product Declaration, Life Cycle Assessment) for three products — developed in collaboration with Assobagno. Certifications: ISO 9001:2008, OHSAS 18001:2007 (Bureau Veritas).
For architects and bathroom specification professionals, ARBLU is relevant as a fully verticalised Italian manufacturer of contemporary shower enclosures, shower trays and bathroom furniture — with demonstrable material expertise, an industry-leading service network and LCA-certified environmental accountability.
