AMPM is a French furniture and decoration brand founded in 1997 by La Redoute. The name stands for "Ante Meridium et Post Meridium". La Redoute traces its origins to the worsted wool spinning mill "Filatures de La Redoute," founded in Roubaix in 1837; in 1928, Charles Pollet, son of the founder, inaugurated mail-order sales. The furniture and furnishing programme grew over decades as an extension of the textile catalogue — AMPM was established as a dedicated brand to offer a range exclusively focused on interiors, positioned in the high-end segment.
Under the guidance of artistic director François Bernard, AMPM combines contemporary luxury aesthetics, exotic influences, country chic and Scandinavian design — executed in noble materials with refined details. Design partners include Emmanuel Gallina (including the Rosebury upholstered collection inspired by 1930s style; the folding Camminata chair) and Valérie Barkowski. The range covers sofas, armchairs, tables, beds, shelving, sideboards, chests and textiles and decoration. Among the bestsellers is the Maricielo round dining table (three-leg solid wood base, tempered glass top). Originally launched as a purely online brand, AMPM opened its first physical store in 2015 in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district of Paris; further locations followed on Avenue Victor Hugo (300 m²) and a corner at Galeries Lafayette.
For interior designers and hospitality buyers, AMPM is relevant as an accessible French design brand with a strong aesthetic identity, quality material base and a broad, stylistically clearly positioned furnishing programme.
