ALBED was founded in Milan in 1964 under the name Boccolini & Delmonte — initially as a manufacturer of aluminium furniture accessories. In 1983 a new headquarters was established in Nova Milanese. The company was renamed ALBED in 1996 and is today led by CEO Andrea Del Monte, marking its 60th anniversary in 2024. Showrooms are located in Milan, Moscow, Manila, Seoul and Rome. All production is Made in Italy using exclusively high-quality raw materials: aluminium, glass and certified wood from sustainably managed forests; glass elements and wood panels are finished with water-based paints. All materials are 100% recyclable.
The product system covers hinged, sliding and pivot doors, partition walls, folding panels, screens and technical accessories — all conceived as an integrated, modular architectural toolkit. The Quadra system is among the most versatile: it offers single and double-glazing as well as honeycomb panel versions, suitable for both residential and commercial projects. In 2024, the Entre-Deux collection, designed by Alfonso Femia / AF*Design, received an Honourable Mention at the XXVIII Compasso d'Oro Award. Configuration services and a bespoke manufacturing service are available for planning purposes.
Architects and interior designers regard ALBED as a high-quality technical brand that integrates precisely and elegantly into any context — including the most demanding.
