At Salone del Mobile 2026, Arper presented two new seating collections alongside an extension of the Catifa (RE) 46 chair family. The new products address applications ranging from office and hospitality to food service and are consistently designed for circularity — material selection and construction follow the principle of full separability at end of life.

Aom — Jean-Marie Massaud

The Aom armchair and sofa collection consists of only two main components: a frame in expanded polypropylene and padding in Breathair®, a fully recyclable polyester elastomer. Polyurethane is not used, which significantly improves recyclability at the end of the use phase. Aom is approved for both indoor and outdoor use — a specification-relevant detail, as lobbies, terraces and transitional zones can be furnished with a single product family.

Cari — Doshi Levien

The Cari lounge chair uses predominantly recycled and recyclable materials. The construction allows full disassembly into single-material components at end of life — a requirement increasingly specified in public tenders. With generous proportions and soft upholstery, Cari is positioned equally for office lounges, hotel lobbies and food service.

Catifa (RE) 46 — extension with upholstered variants

The Catifa (RE) 46, introduced in 2023 with a shell made of 100% recycled plastic (a mix of post-consumer and post-industrial material), has been extended with new upholstered variants. With this addition, Arper responds to demand for acoustically and ergonomically differentiated versions in seating contexts such as auditoriums, conference rooms and educational buildings, without compromising the sustainability metrics of the shell. Alongside, Arper showed the Catifa Carta, introduced in 2024, whose seat shell is made from PaperShell — 29 layers of kraft paper bonded with a natural resin binder.
