Minotti

Minotti is an Italian high-end furniture company — founded in 1948 by Alberto Minotti as a small artisan workshop in Meda (Brianza, Monza e Brianza, Lombardy), initially specialising in classic upholstered sofas for the local and European market. In the 1960s the company industrialised and modernised its range. In 1991 sons Renato and Roberto Minotti — then 35 and 30 years old — took over leadership following their father's unexpected death. In 1998 they appointed architect and designer Rodolfo Dordoni as art director and coordinator of all collections. Dordoni shaped the brand until his death in 2023 with the "Minotti Code" — understated aesthetics, timeless elegance, sartorial details, "innovation in the spirit of continuity". 2022: entry into the Special Register of Historic Trademarks of National Interest (MISE). 100% Made in Italy; nearly all subcontractors within 10 miles of the main plant.

Iconic products: Suitcase armchair, Hamilton sofa system, Van Dyck table (2004), Aston family (2014), Andersen sofa system, Calder coffee table (1999, Rodolfo Dordoni), Quadrado (Studio MK27). 2013: Lifescape outdoor collection. From 2017/2018: opening to international design talents — Christophe Delcourt, Nendo, GamFratesi, Marcio Kogan/Studio MK27, Inoda+Sveje, Hannes Peer (2024), Giampiero Tagliaferri (2024). Minotti Studio as central creative hub of all competencies. First flagship store: 1998 Bangkok. Today: over 80 countries, 50+ mono-brand stores, 300+ dealers. Salone del Mobile as main stage since 1961.
