Minotti is an Italian high-end furniture company — founded in 1948 by Alberto Minotti as a small artisan workshop in Meda (Brianza, Monza e Brianza, Lombardy), initially specialising in classic upholstered sofas for the local and European market. In the 1960s the company industrialised and modernised its range. In 1991 sons Renato and Roberto Minotti — then 35 and 30 years old — took over leadership following their father's unexpected death. In 1998 they appointed architect and designer Rodolfo Dordoni as art director and coordinator of all collections. Dordoni shaped the brand until his death in 2023 with the "Minotti Code" — understated aesthetics, timeless elegance, sartorial details, "innovation in the spirit of continuity". 2022: entry into the Special Register of Historic Trademarks of National Interest (MISE). 100% Made in Italy; nearly all subcontractors within 10 miles of the main plant.
