FANTONI is a north-eastern Italian industrial company for office furniture, wood-based panels and acoustic systems, founded in 1882 by Achille Fantoni in Osoppo (Province of Udine, Friuli-Venezia Giulia). The company has been managed by the Fantoni family for five generations. The Gruppo Fantoni comprises seven companies: Fantoni SpA, La Con SpA, Lesonit (Slovenia), Novolegno SpA, Patt SpA, Spik Iverica (Serbia) and Xilopack Srl. The company produces its own resins and adhesives, impregnates the papers for coating its panel products in-house, and with its own hydroelectric and combined heat-and-power plants generates a considerable share of its own energy needs — a degree of vertical integration without parallel in the furniture industry.
