Eichholtz
Eichholtz is a Dutch luxury brand for furniture, lighting and accessories, founded in the 1990s by Theo Eichholtz, a passionate antiques collector and entrepreneur from Amsterdam. The origin of the brand lies in a trip to Asia in the early 1990s during which Theo Eichholtz was captivated by the elegance of Chinese colonial furniture and began importing these pieces to Europe. From this import business a proprietary design brand gradually developed that never fully abandons its antique-inspired origins. The headquarters and Grand Showroom (with over 50 styled room settings) are located in Noordwijkerhout (the Netherlands). Eichholtz is present at the world's most prestigious interior design fairs, including High Point Market (USA), Maison & Objet (Paris) and Salone del Mobile (Milan). The entire collection is developed internally by a design team led by Global Creative Director Edwin van der Gun. The company counts over 10,000 hotels, restaurants, clubs and stores in its customer portfolio.
Range: luxury furniture (sofas, armchairs, chairs, tables, sideboards, cabinets, beds), atmospheric luminaires (chandeliers, table, floor and wall lamps), home accessories and decorative objects, and an outdoor collection. The aesthetic of Eichholtz is best described as eclectic, international and glamorous — a blend of historical influences from different eras and cultures with a contemporary sensibility. All products are designed in-house; external designer collaborations do not currently exist. Collaboration with The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York: The Met × Eichholtz collection (presented at High Point Market). Single-brand showrooms incl. Barcelona, Saint Petersburg and Miami. The company offers a fully integrated interior design service — with stylists and 3D designers for private and commercial projects.
For architects, interior designers and hospitality specialists seeking for residential, hotel and gastronomy projects a Dutch luxury brand that has developed an internationally recognised design language from a travel experience with Chinese colonial furniture, develops its entire style internally, draws on over 10,000 hospitality references worldwide, and documents the cultural ambition of its aesthetics through the Met collaboration — Eichholtz is one of the key addresses in the segment of eclectic European luxury living.
