Starpool is a north-eastern Italian manufacturer of wellness installations and spa systems. The company was founded in 1975 by Ardelio Turri in Val di Fiemme, Trentino-Alto Adige, at the foothills of the Dolomites — at a time when wellness as a concept barely existed. Turri built the first steam bath in the family garage. Early years: prefabricated pools and saunas (imported from Germany) for hotels and private customers. 1985: son Paolo Turri takes over and integrates beauty treatments into the wellness concept; first collaborations with Germaine De Capuccini and BioLine. 1988: own design department. 2007: the first in-house R&D department in the wellness industry worldwide. 2010: scientific study with the University of Brescia (Dr Alessandro Corsini, then at Inter Milan) → basis for sp.a_system (first scientifically based spa protocol). 2016: Zerobody Dry Float and Nu Relax App (neuroscience). 2020: inauguration of Casa Starpool (competence centre). 2021: own scientific research department. Today: CEO Riccardo Turri (son of Ardelio), 130+ employees. 2025: 50th anniversary. Photovoltaic system 39.60 kW with 20 kWh storage.
