Vortice is an Italian manufacturer of ventilation, heating and air treatment products, founded in 1954 by Attilio Pagani in a basement in Milan. His first product — a kitchen cooker hood — received a design award in the very year of founding. The company subsequently wrote industry history: in 1963 it developed the first European cooker hood with activated carbon filter (Magicfilter) as well as one of the world's first air purifiers (Vortronic, combining electrostatic, carbon and UV germicidal filtration). Multiple Compasso d'Oro prize winner, including for a personal fan developed in collaboration with design master Marco Zanuso. Production site: Zoate Tribiano (Milan). Present in 90+ countries. CEO succession and international expansion were consistently pursued after 2010.
The product portfolio covers residential fans, kitchen hoods, bathroom extractor fans, ceiling fans, pedestal fans, table fans, heat recovery ventilation units, air purifiers, fan heaters and washroom hand dryers and soap dispensers. Certifications: IMQ (Italian Mark of Quality). Also: LORAN (industrial air treatment, acquired 2010) and CASALS Ventilación (Spanish industrial ventilation manufacturer since 1881, acquired 2019).
For architects, building services engineers and contract planners seeking ventilation and air treatment solutions with seven decades of development history, multiple Compasso d'Oro awards, IMQ certification and a complete programme from residential ventilation to industrial systems, Vortice is the European market leader in its category with documented architect affinity.
