iPot is a modular aluminium plant system — developed and distributed since 2014 by Supercake, a design studio with four co-founders (all professional designers with complementary competences) that oversees the entire process from concept through production to worldwide online distribution. After a careful supplier selection and prototyping phase, Supercake has built a local network of manufacturers combining industrial aspects with artisanal attention to detail. iPot is both a material and a design principle: every component is optimised at structural and aesthetic level, material waste minimised and transport dimensions reduced to simplify storage and delivery. The unlimited reconfigurability creates a long product lifecycle.
The system is usable vertically or horizontally, wall-mounted or freestanding, simple or complex and articulated — from a single pot holder to complex room divider configurations. Cachepot bags with PVC lining (heat-welded, fully waterproof); cotton covers or Dralon©-Teflon© covers in colour range or customisable on demand; bags freely positionable within the structure, which also serves as support for climbing plants.
