Bonaldo is an Italian furniture company, founded in 1936 by Giovanni Vittorio Bonaldo as a craft metalworking workshop serving the furniture industry in the Veneto. His son Albino Bonaldo took over and began the handmade production of bedsteads, beds and mattresses. 1971: first appearance at the Salone del Mobile in Milan — the start of a lasting presence at Italy's leading design fair. In 1981 Bonaldo Spa was refounded as an industrial company, integrating technology and design sensibility into a new vision for transformable upholstered furniture. Today the third generation, represented by Alberto Bonaldo (Managing Director), leads the company. Production: entirely in the Veneto, by qualified craftsmen. 2011: opening of the Padua showroom (6,000 m², design Mauro Lipparini, Good Design Award). Headquarters: Piazzola sul Brenta (Padova). Exports: over 70% of production.
