Bertazzoni S.p.A. is an Italian home appliance manufacturer based and producing in Guastalla (Province of Reggio Emilia, Emilia-Romagna). Founded in 1882 by Francesco Bertazzoni, who together with his son Antonio initially built precision scales for local cheese and pharmaceutical producers and wood-burning stoves. The company has been family-owned for six generations — registered trademarks include "La Germania", under which early production was sold. 1956: first gas range; 1975: first electric oven; 2001: adoption of the Toyota production system; 2005: first induction cooktops and market entry into the USA. 2016: opening of the Casa Bertazzoni experiential showroom (6,500 sq ft, designed by architect Carlo Malerba, Turin) at the Guastalla headquarters. Currently CEO and President Paolo Bertazzoni leads the company (5th generation, since 1999); COO Nicola Bertazzoni was appointed in 2024 as the first NKBA board member based outside North America. Paolo Bertazzoni received the title of Cavaliere del Lavoro from President Sergio Mattarella in 2024. Production: approx. 200,000 units/year. Exports: 90%+ of revenue. Distribution in over 60 countries.
