AYTM is a Danish design brand for home accessories, lighting and small furniture, founded in 2015 in Aarhus — Denmark's second-largest city, at the harbour. Behind the brand are husband and wife Per and Kathrine Gran Hartvigsen, who had been running Gran Living ApS since 2004, developing private-label products for mid-size and high-end retail chains in Northern Europe. AYTM is the couple's own signature brand. The name is a wordplay on the English word "item" — pronounced exactly like it. The design team is based at headquarters on the Aarhus harbour; each collection is developed in-house, supplemented by collaborations with external designers.
AYTM positions itself as a counterpoint to classic Scandinavian minimalism: the brand retains clear geometric forms but breaks with the usual restraint in colour and materials through bold, internationally inspired tones and contrasting material pairings — brass, steel, marble, velvet. Range: vases, mirrors, lighting (pendant, floor, wall), trays, candle holders, rugs, textiles, seating, tables. Best-known product: Globe planter (powder-coated steel and glass).
