Andreu World was founded in 1955 by Francisco Andreu Martí in Alaquàs (Valencia, Spain) as a small cabinetmaking workshop. The first chair (Model 72) was launched in 1957; the Andreu World brand name was introduced in 1980. The company remains family-owned, now in its third generation, with Jesús Llinares as CEO. The new headquarters and flagship showroom in Riba-roja de Túria (Valencia, 2,000 m²) — designed by ERRE Studio, Rifé Studio and GM Paisajistas — opened in 2025, the brand's 70th anniversary year. Andreu World is present in over 90 countries across three continents.

The company was the first furniture manufacturer in the world to achieve 100% FSC® certification across its entire catalogue — a decision taken in 2005 covering the entire wood supply chain from forest to finished product. Further sustainability positions include: LEVEL 3 certification (the highest furniture sustainability standard), Carbon Neutral status, 100% Pure Eco thermopolymer certified by SGS, and TÜV certification for bio-based thermopolymers. Design partners include Philippe Starck (Adela Rex), Patricia Urquiola (Oru Chair, Nub, Nuez Lounge BIO), Rodolfo Dordoni, Alfredo Häberli (Dado, Giro Soft, In Out Office), Benjamin Hubert (Hula), Jasper Morrison, Lievore Altherr Molina and Piergiorgio Cazzaniga. National Design Award 2007 (Spain). Reference projects include the U.S. Capitol in Washington, Google and Microsoft offices, YouTube San Francisco, Princeton and Harvard universities, Johannesburg Airport and the AC Marriott Kingston.

For architects, office planners and contract buyers, Andreu World is the Spanish benchmark for sustainable, wood-based chairs and tables — with the highest level of design collaboration and watertight eco-certification across the board.
