Samo is a north-eastern Italian manufacturer of shower enclosures and bathroom accessories. The company was founded in the 1960s by Orvile Venturato in north-eastern Italy — at a time when not every household yet had its own bathroom. Samo was the first company in its sector worldwide to receive ISO 9000 certification, in 1994. Today Samo is part of the Samo Industries Group, founded on 6 August 2013, which brings together the brands Samo, Inda (founded 1944), Lineabeta and Siro under one roof. The group is led by the Venturato family and produces at multiple sites in Italy with a daily production capacity of approximately 2,000 shower enclosures. Subsidiaries are in France, Spain and Benelux.
