Fora Form is a Norwegian manufacturer of contract furniture and seating for meeting places, founded in 1929 in Ørsta (Sunnmøre, western Norway) as Møre Kurvmøbelfabrikk — initially as an artisanal wicker furniture producer. In 1931 the name changed to Møre Lenestolfabrikk AS (armchair factory), in 1975 to Møremøbler AS, in 1997 to the present name Fora Form AS — a naming that programmatically captures the company principle in two words: "We create FORA through FORM." Fora Form is today part of the Lammhults Design Group. The company vision has not changed since 1929: to create furniture with good design for places where people come together. Since the 1950s, design has been used as a strategic tool. The company has received over 40 Norwegian design awards (Merket for god design) and three Classic Awards. Auditorium seating: Fora Form delivered seating for the National Theatre Oslo after fire and reconstruction.
Signature products: Planet (Sven Ivar Dysthe — Norway's first Pop-Art furniture piece), Laminette (1967 — nearly 1 million units sold, international recognition), Spring (design Terje Hope, 1984 — Norwegian design icon), Jazz collection (Dave Vikøren/Steinar Hindenes — Merket for god design 1993, Classic Award 2005; Jazz Pepper table, Jazz Dizzy coat hanger, Jazz Monk chair, Jazz Young stool), Senso (design Anderssen & Voll, 2014 — category leader, best-selling product), BUD (colourful-sculptural, most recent collection), Popcorn (1968 — from original fibreglass through virgin plastic to 100% recycled plastic). Product categories: chairs, seating groups, bar stools, poufs, lounge tables, auditorium and function hall seating.
