e15 is a German premium brand for furniture, lighting and accessories headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, founded in 1995 by German-born architect Philipp Mainzer together with Farah Ebrahimi in London — named after the London postal district E15 (East London) where the company's first workshop was located. Philosophy and production: all products are developed according to consistent design principles — essential forms, mono-materialism, natural materials, handcrafted production. Solid wood (predominantly European oak, from sustainable forestry, mainly from Germany) is the core material; supplemented by marble, leather, metal and glass. Production takes place in specialised workshops predominantly in Germany as well as selected European countries. All products receive an individual serial number stamp and a certificate of authenticity as proof of provenance. Bespoke production is available.
