ARTELINEA was founded in 1956 — initially as a glassworks specialising in mirrors and glass for the furniture industry. In 1962, founder Marcello Gobbini laid the foundations for the factory in Figline Valdarno (FI), Tuscany, that would become a leader in the glass bathroom sector. Today the company remains in Figline Valdarno with a production facility of over 12,000 m². The roof houses a photovoltaic system producing 80% of the plant's energy needs; processing water circulates in a closed loop, rainwater is collected in tanks, and all packaging uses 100% recycled cardboard. The company collaborates with the Chemistry Department of the University of Florence, the Scuola del Vetro in Murano/Venice, and independent researchers.

The brand's defining claim: in 1989, Artelinea was the first company in the world to use thick glass slabs for bathroom tops as an alternative to marble — with under-top, over-top and thermofused sinks. All production stages are carried out in-house: cutting, bending, grinding, casting, lacquering and laser processing. Furniture is also produced in the company's own carpentry shop; an integrated lighting department mounts mirrors and installs wiring on site. The range covers washbasins, vanity units, bathroom cabinets, mirror cabinets, illuminated mirrors, wall shelves, bathroom accessories and wall tiles. Collections: Alexander, Cortina, Dama, Domino, Glass & Paper, Quadra, Ulaop, Zen, Plissé (new, combining coloured mirrors with wood). Awards: Archiproducts Design Award 2025 Sustainability. Materials: glass, crystal, Dualite®, opalite, Ceramilux® and composite materials.

For architects and hotel project developers, Artelinea is relevant as a Tuscan specialist in high-quality glass bathroom solutions — with fully in-house production, a pioneering role in solid-glass processing and a consistent zero-impact manufacturing model.
