Arrmet was founded in the early 1960s in Gorizia (Friuli) and relocated to Manzano (UD), Via Alessandro Volta 8 in 1975 — the town recognised as the "capital of chair manufacturing" and centre of the Friulian chair district. The brand was unconventional from the outset: while local competitors produced wooden chairs, Arrmet pioneered metal construction — initially for schools and community settings, then for the marine sector. By 1985, Arrmet was exporting to Europe, the USA and Saudi Arabia. An outdoor line was introduced in 2004; textiles and wood followed as additional materials in 2012. The company operates under ISO 9001 certification. Sub-brands: Area Declic (design chairs and tables in metal/plastic), Debi and MAN. The in-house R&D unit is called ArrmetLab.
Today the programme covers chairs, stools, armchairs, benches, sofas, tables and coffee tables for indoor and outdoor use — for contract and hospitality. Key products: Pocket (folding chair, Robby Cantarutti + Francesca Petricich, an icon for 20+ years, folds to 2 cm), Macka (Note Design Studio, Sweden), Sharp, Belle (including Pure Belle) and Strike. Designers include Cantarutti/Petricich, Sylvain Willenz and ArrmetLab. The programme combines craftsmanship with industrial manufacturing; all products are Made in Italy.
For architects, restaurateurs and hospitality planners, Arrmet is relevant as a long-established Friulian chair and table manufacturer — with strong metal expertise, an international designer network and proven contract capability.
